The Mentalist

Patrick Jane is a former psychic whose wife and daughter are murdered by the famed serial killer known only as Red John. Jane has now dedicated his life to hunting down and capturing Red John.

Jane offers his services to the CBI (California Bureau of Investigation) and is brought on as a consultant to the team responsible for investigating the Red John case, led by Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon. One of the requirements with his consulting position is he may not carry or use a firearm. He helps the bureau solve a large number of cases because of his keen gift of observation.

Although the team is able to close an unprecedented number of cases, but Jane’s unconventional and often outright illegal methods also bring much censure down on Lisbon’s head, making his assistance both a blessing and a curse.

The Laughter Ladies: Scrubs

You’ve met the Men of Medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital, now meet the ladies!

Dr. Elliot Reid: Private Practice Physician at Sacred Heart. Her relationship with J.D. becomes romantic on several occasions and is driven by a neurotic desire to prove her abilities to her family (in which all of the males are doctors), her peers, and herself. Her comic timing is so perfect with J.D. that it’s impossible not to laugh over her punch-lines. Her relationship with J.D. is like two sides of the same coin: Can’t live with or without each another.

Carla Espinosa: Head Nurse. She acts as a mother figure to the interns, often hiding their mistakes from their attending doctor. During the course of the series Turk forms a relationship with Carla; eventually they marry and start a family together. Carla usually is ticked off by the amount of ‘bromance’ that goes on between Turk and J.D. and at times she even feels that Turk’s first love is his best friend and not his wife. But none the less, she is the spine of the group and loves everyone unconditionally.

Jordan Sullivan: Ex wife of Dr. Perry Cox. She is also the retired member of the Sacred Heart Board of Directors which makes her visits to the Hospital frequent. Jordan is portrayed to be sarcastic, vindictive, and cold; she blames this on her parents, but later tells Elliot that her parents were supportive and not the cause of her behavior. Despite her occasional cruelty, Jordan does display loyalty towards friends and sometimes attempts to fix her wrong-doings.

Scrubs: Men of Comic Medicine

Meet the hilarious Men of Sacred Heart Hospital as we dissect their personalities right here!

Dr. Perry Cox: The senior attending physician at Sacred Heart and the hospital’s Residency Director. Witty, hyperactive and highly sarcastic. His team considers him to be a doctor without a heart. He thinks that developing an emotional connect with the patients makes it hard to treat them thus he keeps putting everyone down. His target of brutal verbal assassinations is J.D. who he addresses with girly names.

Dr. Robert Kelso: Sacred Heart’s Chief of Medicine. The senior most faculty at the hospital who considers himself the best and thus goes around pushing and bossing everyone around. He is in a never-ending war of words with Dr. Cox who thoroughly despises him because of his attitude.

J.D: A young attending physician who is most of the times lost in his own world of surreal slapstick fantasy world and usually imagines the situations to add some fun in the boring mundane life of sacred Hospital. He has a connection with almost everyone in the hospital which has helped him grow as a person over a period of time.

Christopher Turk: J.D.’s best friend and a surgical attending physician and later Chief of Surgery. The partner-in-crime in all the deeds with J.D since school days. The bromance between the two creates a humorous splurge and adds a fresh whiff of laughter as the story proceeds.

The Janitor: The hospital’s custodian who has adversarial relationship between him and J.D., which persists throughout. The situations usually tend to take the form where in the Janitor goes around pulling mean-spirited pranks on J.D.

Leslie Knope is the upcoming political star of Pawnee, Indiana where she lived since she was a child.
She is the Deputy Parks Director of Pawnee’s Parks and Recreation Department. Having dedicated herself to the development of Pawnee, Leslie often goes beyond just services to make things better for her fellow citizens. Her enthusiasm is often met with cynicism from her colleagues and co-workers especially Ron Swanson, but not enough to dampen her spirits.

Leslie idolizes female political bureaucrats as is made evident by posters of Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Bella Azbug and Condoleezza Rice in her room.
